AdOr Warehouse Management System Cuts Lead time and improves Accuracy

The benefits have been incredible. Store lead times are down by up to 50% while picking per store is down from an average of 5.5 hours to less than an hour. Picking accuracy, in turn, has increased by 45% Willem van Wyk Director of Supply Chain Management and IT at Food Lovers Market Improved stock availability and visibility are two of the biggest benefits that Food Lover’s Market has seen since implementing ADOR Warehouse Management Software (WMS) Keeping consumers happy is not easy. In a world where few are willing to wait, retailers are under pressure to deliver goods faster and more efficiently than ever before. Amidst growing consumer demand, supply chains are being pushed to the absolute limit to ensure they can operate not only faster and more reliably, but also more cost-effectively. Store lead times are down 0 % Picking accuracy increased 0 % Food Lovers Market does have an existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system but the flow of goods was not optimized from the distribution centre (DC) to the various stores and back. Food Lovers Market required improved stock management and stock visibility model that would bring integration and optimization to the warehouse, ultimately allowing for better stock prediction, management, and flow. Operating in a fiercely competitive environment, Food Lovers Market opted to use Forte Warehouse Solutions as the third-party project manager for ADOR WMS in regards to the implementation of the WMS, as they act as the bridge between our clients’ expectations and the software development team. Several challenges were identified at the start of the project that had already kicked off in 2015. First and foremost was the hardware and infrastructure that needed to be addressed. It is essential that a DC can cater to the functionality of the equipment ADOR functions on. At the same time, one must not lose sight that such implementation brings about big changes for any organization and its employees. Therefore, managing that process is integral to the success of it all. Forte assisted to ensure that everyone across the warehouse understood the plan and process, and that management changes took place from a user level. This all had to be done without impacting the trade environment at all – meaning there was no shutdown of the existing system while the new one was being introduced. It had to be done without interruption of operations. We provided and ensured the development experience was exceptional, including vast background work to deliver the best results for Food Lovers. Thorough user acceptance testing and dry-runs were done before the first DC was moved onto the WMS in 2018. Food Lovers Market runs a combination of departments in each DC and the requirement was that all the divisions would operate ADOR to cater to the specific requirements within each department. The system had to be adjusted for such scenarios as well as the various critical requirements within each department. Most of the success was in the adaptability of ADOR and how extremely relevant and workable the system is on the ground level. Thanks to the process knowledge and dedicated teams, Food Lovers Market was able to develop and test the software several times before implementation, leading to fewer bugs and a more effective process all around. At present three of the Food Lovers Market’s distribution centres, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban, are live and operating on ADOR; while it is currently in the process of being implemented in other cities (and possibly countries) are set to follow – as at mid-2019. A Smart WMS for Effective Control AdOr 5 WMS is a high-performance warehouse management system for the active control of all processes and material flow as well all available resources in the warehouse. × Dismiss this alert. AdOr WMS plans for 2023

AdOr: Features & Solutions planned for 2023 The well-known South African software company AdOr has designed numerous new solutions for warehouses and will continue to design more innovative and efficient solutions. We listen and take our clients request seriously to this end we have planned the following new feature releases which will be introduced and rolled out in 2023. Chat Soon, the AdOr5 mobile app will be able to chat, allowing users to do so to talk to each other via text or instant message on multiple devices. It’s helpful to be able to ask for feedback based on a message (Yes, No, OK, etc.) without giving the user the ability to send a message to make sure users respond to requests from management or controllers. Multiple language support The AdOr5 mobile app will soon support multiple languages, which we have developed and are in the process of implementing. When logging in from a mobile device, the user can choose a default language. This would be a huge help when introducing the AdOr5 warehouse management system to nations where the native language of the mobile application users is not English. Scheduled email reporting engine The ability to compile many reports into one package and send them out regularly throughout the day will be introduced. The management staff, for instance, will receive the Daily Throughput report and Open orders every weekday at 17h00. Each week at 08:00, the planning team should receive an update on open orders. System Notifications The system alerts caution, and information can be sent to contacts by email, SMS, and Telegram. Your warehouse will benefit from the precise inventory data provided by the notification system, and you can also utilize it to keep your customers in the loop. Azure Active Directory (LDAP) Integration The AdOr5 WMS can be integrated with LDAP services like Azure Active Directory to manage permissions, roles, etc. As a result, the AdOr5 WMS can be managed along with the rest of the company’s operations from a single location, eliminating the need for constant service-by-service updates. Facilitating the swift addition or deletion of users and user groups. Multi-factor authentication Multi-factor authentication keeps people from getting into sensitive information and systems without permission. A hacker rarely has access to a second or third authentication factor besides a stolen password or other authentication methods. Because of multi-factor authentication, the safety of your business will go up. Single sign-on (SSO) integration with Microsoft and Google services Users can simplify their login process using this solution’s single sign-on (SSO) authentication. When used with Azure Active Directory, the result will be extremely potent. At AdOr we will continue to strive and design solutions to help you exceed customer expectations in the omnichannel marketplace, our Warehouse Management System maximizes efficiency and optimizes the potential of every fulfilment center. Solutions Introduced In 2022

AdOr: The Future Of South African Enterprise Software AdOr, a prominent South African software company, has released several new solutions, and it plans to do so again with new software designed to help businesses manage their operations. This article will preview AdOr, the next generation of South African business software. We’ll examine how your company needs various software applications to function daily. But it’s not just your company that needs access to these technologies; your customers and staff do, too. Objective of AdOr AdOr’s Warehouse Management System makes your warehouse innovative, whether you operate your operations locally or in the cloud, allowing you to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and eliminate bottlenecks so you may expand to your fullest capacity. AdOr’s ambition is to create logistic software environments that are both user-friendly and highly effective in helping their intended audience achieve their objectives. As a result of using AdOr, you can enhance the efficiency of your warehouse beyond just selecting, packing, and shipping; you can also accelerate the flow of items and data across your warehouse, and you can ensure that all warehouse processes are carried out without a hitch. Solutions Introduced In 2022 Standard Integration API expanded When an organization’s APIs are designed the same way, they provide developers with the best possible experience. Because of the uniformity of their layout, APIs are immediately comfortable to use. It reduces the learning curve for employees just beginning to utilize your API. For that reason, we’ve expanded the functionality of current interfaces and introduced a plethora of new ones to fulfill our promise of allowing full integrations. Xero Interface Enhancements and Additions The system has been updated with new interfaces. There are new interfaces that allow you to produce purchase orders and invoices, as well as control your products in AdOr5 and synchronize your changes with Xero. Camera Attachments The AdOr5 mobile and desktop clients now support the addition of photos to products, inbound deliveries, outbound orders, and shipments. Tracking damaged packages for reimbursement is one example of a possible application. Taking pictures of products so they can be easily recognized in the future. Connecting bills of lading or proofs of delivery to shipments. Camera Scanner integration Dedicated barcode scanning hardware is no longer required because users can simply use their mobile device’s camera to scan a product’s barcode. This solution allows newer businesses and those with a smaller budget to implement good warehouse management practices at lower-volume sites using Android-based mobile devices at a lower cost. File Upload Interface Since it is no longer necessary for a single resource to do all uploads, and since multiple authorized employees can now work simultaneously on the integration, we have built a new upload interface for the customer to use in order to transfer integration data. Android 12 support The ingenuity of Android’s mobility is revolutionizing the workplace. It is the most widely used mobile operating system because of its reliability, adaptability, and safety (OS). Since efficiency and precision are so important in the warehouse nowadays, many businesses are switching to Android OS-based devices. So, our experts have now made it official that Android 12 can be used. Shipment Note emailing support Now that we’ve automated everything, as soon as a shipment is complete, a note notifying everyone on the email list will be sent out. The customer can be notified of an upcoming shipment, or another internal process can be started using this information. Cloud printing integration Before this development, if a warehouse needed to print to a barcode printer or send a print job to a specific printer, a printer agent had to be installed on the desktop of the workstation that was physically linked to the printer. Since we last updated the printer agent, it only needs to be installed on a single server or workstation in a distribution center to facilitate using several networked printers. Administrators can assign specific printers to receive documents and labels created from specific computers or in response to specific tasks. We would like to thank all our current clients for a successful 2022 and look forward to growing together. We also have the privilege in welcoming the new site additions to the AdOr5 family onboarded in 2022.
